Operation Rebound - FOR U.S. MILITARY/FIRST RESPONDERS WITH A PERMANENT PHYSICAL DISABILITY ONLY
Dear Prospective Grant Recipient:
Thank you for requesting a grant from the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) Operation Rebound Program! Please read this information carefully before beginning your application as it outlines the requirements each applicant must meet to be considered for funding from CAF Operation Rebound. The CAF Operation Rebound program is for active duty United States military, veterans and first responders who have served honorably and have a permanent physical injury or illness that adversely affects their mobility. It is the mission of CAF to provide you the opportunities and support you need to reach your goals, big or small. It is our goal to distribute meaningful grants that will make a difference in your pursuit of physical fitness and sports.
CAF Operation Rebound offers three different grant categories that you can apply for possible funding. Each person may submit a request in any or all different categories:
1. Equipment Grant
2. Coaching/Training Grant
3. Competition/Travel Grant
CAF considers the following criteria when evaluating each grant application:
ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible for a grant from Operation Rebound, an individual must be a U.S. active duty service member or veteran, or first responder (such as a paramedic, firefighter or police officer.)
QUALIFYING DISABILITY: Applicants must have a permanent physical injury or illness that adversely affects mobility, such as amputation, paralysis, legal blindness, or severe TBI.
MOTIVATION: Applicant's desire to improve upon fitness and achieve their goals.
EFFORT ON APPLICATION: Only completed applications will be considered.
